Saving editable PDF forms?

  FYI: Adobe considers the ability to "save" the contents of a form as
something special, and expects you to purchase Adobe Acrobat Standard
or "better" to do so.  You cannot save a form using Adobe Reader.

  There may well be third-party software that is less evil about this,
but I figured it is worth knowing that, as far as Adobe is concerned,
things are Working As Designed.
