BioAPI and networks

  Before I start searching the nooks and crannies of the net, has anyone
ever implemented a method to authenticate with any sort of network services
via biometric devices?

  Here's the 'simply' part of what I'm hoping to do, if at all possible.  In
my house we have several laptops/computers with fingerprint readers.  We
have all cross-enrolled our prints amungst the windows boxes, which makes
things VERY easy when we want to use eachothers systems via Windows.

  What I'd LIKE to be able to do is have Samba or some other authentication
server for network based authentication without having to individually
enroll fingerprints to each Windows laptop, as well as enroll them under
Linux.

  Anyone have any experience with this?
