I am very partial to the class of smart phones (such as the Treo 650).
I want 1 device that can serve as my PDA and cell phone. As mentioned
by others it syncs nicely with Outlook (ugh - I have to use that
horrible program), and with jpilot. I've even got keys set up to
automatically dial Smartraveler and key in the route number. The phone
is also able to dial on a voice command, but I never set that up. I've
got my earphone and my GPS antenna set up through bluetooth. I've had
the 650 for about 4 years. The Treo also have a camera, and while the
resolution is not that good, it has come in very useful.
The bottom line for any of these devices is
what you want to do with it. I had an iPaq at one time. Great device,
but with Linux loaded it was not much more than a toy, and when they
first came out, Jim Gettys used it to read the menu at the Cambridge
Brewing Company.
