Microsoft caught bribing Nigerian official; Mandriva back on Nigerian-bought "Classmate"

As mentioned on this list a few days ago, at the end of the board
meeting, Maddog showed us the "Classmate" - the small Intel-based box
being developed to compete with OLPC.

It turns out Microsoft had used a bribe to compete with Linux which
was originally supposed to come on these systems.  I know- I'm also
shocked by this completely unbelievable revelation.  Microsoft is
naturally saying it did nothing wrong and its actions were legal.
Another shocker.
