Hah! I can do you better than that. I live IN Nashua and get almost no
cell reception at all. I live just off exit 1, but in the Salmon Brook
valley... so I get 1 or maybe 2 bars here... If I am willing to press
the phone against my western facing windows I may even be able to
complete a call.
If you are not close to a main highway, cell reception drops off very quickly.
As for Verizon POTS, don't even get me started on Verizon's allowing
AT&T to slam our old numbers repeater (the "number has been changed to
xxx-xxxx message) with their long-distance shortly after we moved to
our new house. When we complained that we had a long-distance change
block on that account, they told us it was not a real number anymore,
so such protections did not apply. If it was not a real number, then
why did it need long distance service?
