You have to launch CodecBuddy and accept the license for the free  
playback codec.

Absolutely.  If it turns out that this does get automated, I don't  
see a problem with any reasonable format feed, as I'll just be  
pushing Ted's Easy Button.   Just for now, it's still manual, so  
pragmatic corner-cutting abounds.
