This second video he was just stretching for. He complained it didn't play
MP3s, only Ogg. It's free software. Neither can my desktop and laptop,
running Debian, at least not out of the box. He complained that it didn't
autocomplete text he was typing in with proper nouns. And why is he using a
retracted pen instead of the stylus it comes with? In the first video, he
complained about not being able to tap at the edge of the screen, but his
pointed is 2-3 times as wide as a stylus. Ultimately, this guy is clearly
trying to make it look worse than his iPhone, as if they were aimed at the
same demographic.
The way this guy words a number of things makes it clear that he's pretty
happy to rant about whatever. He showed disdain for open source in his voiced
comments about the calculator and he seems really enthralled with the loop on
it, which doesn't seem like a problem to me and may help the mic pickup the
speakers voice better I imagine.
Ultimately, this video didn't have any real complaints in it and leads me to
think the qt one interface will be much nicer when I get to play with it.

And I can do more on my Treo 650 than any other phone out there now. What's
your point? The Freerunner seems to be the only thing that I can imagine
giving me more functionality than my Treo. Your Zaurus didn't do Bluetooth
(and as you said, no phone) and my Treo barely does Bluetooth too. Neither
has GPS or a high resolution screen like this.
I'm anxious to see what can be done with this as a hardware platform - the
software will get better, especially as they start to put more of these
phones out there. They are not for the mainstream to be sure. Those people
can buy iPhones and seem happy enough with them so far.
