I get a translucent rectangular control box in the lower left corner
of the page. There is a page indicator and forward/back arrows.
Google Apps is implemented using heavy JavaScript ("AJAX"), so you
need to use an appropriate browser. (e.g., Lynx won't cut it.)

I believe it is an OpenOffice.org presentation, so "less" is
unlikely to be useful.
Google Apps allows export to PDF, which I have done, and posted to
the GNHLUG website (112 KB):
