Absolutely! Everything WebMin does can be done in the CLI. All it does
is write config files. But the power of WebMin is that it exposes the
options, organizes them in a logical way, and then writes out a
consistent configuration file. (and spells them correctly!)

For example, I've maintained Samba configs by hand, and it's easy to
write conflicting configurations where you use a WinNT-level setting
when you should be using a CIFS oriented setting. WebMin helps sort that
out.

As for Ubuntu ports, I have always just installed WebMin from the
tarballs available at www.webmin.com and followed the installation
instructions. That's worked for me on Fedora, CentOS and Ubuntu.
