Umm, sorry about the html comment - the day was long, I have to use an old
email client which is very difficult to get it to send text. (It wants to
send html, even when I try to set it up in text mode. I agree it is
wrong, but that is what I have to put up with on a daily basis.)

BTW the list did scrub my two (2) crummy html bold statements. What I put
in was hardly worth making my comment. My apologies.

I had thought about subdirectories. I kind of started out that way. Maybe
I could make them work. When I started out using python I didn't have the
skills to do many of the things I find myself doing now. It is definitely
an enabling language...

My skill levels have improved somewhat, in part due to the occasional
'corrections' I have received from this list (and others). I liken it to
an 'invisible fence'. Sometimes it is painful. If I have seemed
ungrateful at times, please accept my apologies.

Somehow, I don't think subdirectories are the answer. Seriously, I think
some sort of db will end up being useful. I'm at the stage where I'm
trying to figure out what I really need. Coding at this point would be a
waste. Once the requirements can be stated, it is a lot easier to
generate good code... (Many would rightly argue it is the ONLY way to
generate good code.)

It seems like a library needs to be built. I need to categorize waveforms
by their characteristics. I also need to be able to search through what
has done to:
1) see what is missing, 2) try to see patterns in the existing data.

I'm sure there is a 3rd item on the list, but I don't know how to
verbalize it yet.
