I've been a Comcast customer since they bought ATTBI, and have dealt
with all sorts of customer service people. A number of years ago I had
an ATTBI tech misinstall a cable amplifier. But, since Comcast took
over, I have had better techs as well as customer service people. Since
the problem he came to fix did not recur for a while, I let it be until
it occurred again. This time, the Comcast tech arrived on-time, looked
at the how the guy had installed it, and wanted me to find the ticket so
he could write him up. In any case, he quickly fixed the problem.

Most recently, my cable box failed, and they sent a tech who replaced
it. That unit failed after he left, so after I called back he went back
to the shop to make sure he got a brand new unit. Basically, my service
has been very reliable. We did have a short outage a few months ago that
was a network outage at their end. While I've been tempted at times to
call RCN or Verizon for the most part I have excellent bandwidth,
excellent phone service, and excellent TV service (except on one DTA
where sometimes we can't get channels 4,5,7, but the cable is an old
RG59, but it's not worth the pain to rerun the cable. All other channels
are rock solid.

Personally, I would like the technology of fibre into the home, but my
past experience with Verizon has not been all that good.
