Upgrade intrepid -> jaunty apt-get issues Could not resolve '@localhost'

OK, dumb guess. It says can not resolve '@localhost' it does not say
can not resolve 'localhost'. It appears from various comments that
other names do resolve, so unlikely to be a simple resolver issue.
Have you looked in various config files for xxx@@localhost or @localhost
where is should be localhost? Put another way, is some config file
claiming a host name should be @localhost instead of a 'localhost' (an
extra @ problem). If you do have an 'extra @' and the parser is STUPID
then it would be difficult to resolve host name '@localhost' into an
address.
Please note: I have no absolutely no knowledge that such a bug/condition
exists. I am blindly and literally reading the error message you
supplied and then HURTLING to a conclusion. :) I've spent all of about
30 secs to a minute thinking and typing on this, feel free to call it a
stupid idea after half that time. :)
