[FOSS] How does one respond to this line of questioning?

I read this part, read your answer, and although I did not comment on
it, agreed with your answer.

No, from what I have read of the issue, Bruce's house would be as I
wanted it.  He used some Metric tools to do his work instead of the
English standard ones, but the house works the way I would want it to
work.  Perhaps using his tools he was able to complete it in a shorter
time, perhaps with people skilled in using Metric tools, whereas all the
English-tool people were already employed and engaged.  If I had asked
him to use English-tools he might have taken longer to build the house,
and still made a mistake in building it.

And why should it be a problem for anyone?

I do not think the question is a "conclusion", but an observation that
many on this list have experienced.

With this I think I will get back to my "real work".
