Unless some people want to change slide their answers one way or another
that seems to indicate a general (though slight) preference for Sept 1,
dunnit?

(if we coun't `if-need-be' equally to `yes', then it's a 3-way tie--
 even Sept 8 had +3 if-need-be responses to make up for the -3 yesses)
