So, if I remember correctly..., the machine is currently being hosted
in colocation facility at FirstLight since they bought G4
(which was where we went when MV.com shut down)?
How much money does FirstLight want? Can we just, um..., pay them
to let us stay there?
To actually answer the question you asked, though: I've been running
with Linode for a few years and have been happy with both the type
and quality of service. They periodically increase the resources
that they're giving everyone without increasing cost, which is nice
but not necessarily relevant here.
The only issue I've had is that one of their subnets (which includes
one of the VMs I lease from them) got onto some stupid spam blacklist,
but I tend to blame the blacklist-ops for that sort of thing....
