I have a few Linux positions locally here in Ma. that are real, qualified
and we are approved vendors of the client. Each client we are working
directly with the heads of engineering and a solid relationship with the
client. If you are not qualified but may know someone that is we will pay a
referral bonus if you send someone our way and they get the role. Here are
the descriptions, locations, etc... Thanks for the help.

Role 1 (perm role and maybe 1 contract role) in the acton ma area
Will participate as a member of a small team of engineers working on the
development and support of a Fault Tolerant version of Linux. The work will
be focused on 1) participating in the ongoing new development efforts to
keep current with the latest versions Linux, 2) port our FT Linux to the
latest HW platforms, 3) the productization of our FT Linux SW. The areas
that we have made and continue to make modifications in Linux include
providing for SCSI and PCI hot-plug support (including surprise removal of
devices), overall hardening of a select set of Linux device drivers and
making Linux work with FT Hardware.

Role 2 (perm) in andover ma area
Infrastructure; 10+ yrs, prefer embedded, not really kernel mods but
providing abstraction layers on top of the Linux OS. Ideally embedded Linux,
but not required. Files systems exp. but again ideally embedded file
systems, Mostly c, very little C++. Key would be High Availability and
Fault Tolerant systems work. Any datacoms is a place this is building a
core router.

Role 3 (perm) in the burlington ma area
Our customer, an early stage start-up focusing on enterprise data
protection, is looking for a Sr. to Princ. level engineer with over 10 years
of industry exp, mostly working at the systems and kernel level with
Unix/Linux. The group is building a key piece of their platform based on RT
Linux. The work will include embedded systems, kernel modification and
drivers, I/O buffering and porting. The candidate must have extensive Unix
kernel exp., ideally some work with Linux (RT Linux would be a big plus),
exposure to embedded systems and have worked with HA/FT systems that
required high performance and scalability. Most of the coding is done in C
with some use of C++. FC and or SCSI drivers, and storage networking is
highly desirable.
