IT Systems Administrator

Seeking an IT Systems Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our
clients internal LAN, production servers, and desktop PCs.  The ideal
candidate will be comfortable supporting a mixed Linux/Windows environment,
will thrive on technical challenges and have an interest in network
security.



Responsibilities:

.     Securely support & maintain a heterogeneous network of Fedora Core and
Windows servers providing network services such as SMTP, IMAP, HTTP, SSH,
SMB, DNS, etc.

.     Diagnose & support desktop PCs and laptops (various Win32 flavors)

.     Manage all office IT issues including electronic pass-cards, phone
systems and coordination with building personnel

.     Setup new systems (VPNs, etc) as needed for development and testing.



Required qualifications

.     2+ years of Linux administration

.     2+ years of Windows desktop support

.     Working knowledge of iptables including NAT

.     Comfortable with basic networking hardware and LAN topologies

.     Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/UDP and above)

.     Strong debugging & problem solving skills

.     Self motivated & proactive

.     Ability to juggle and track multiple tasks, communicate well, and
follow up in a timely manner



Desirable qualifications

.     Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

.     Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange

.     VPN experience

.     Understanding of Linux's LVM commands
