I was asked by an old colleague if I could help them to locate someone
that help them with doing QA work on a 1099 basis.

Here's an overview of the work:

The software to be tested is rather CRM-ish (web based front office
automation) n case that helps to provide a context. There is an existing
body of testing scripts although I haven't been able to find out what
language they're written in. I do know that the scripts were custom
developed rather than using a testing software package of some sort. So
that indicates that they might be in Expect, Perl, or something similar.

The work involves writing a test plan, developing test scripts, devising
test cases, and carrying out the overall testing. This is somewhat basic
to intermediate level work so a QA person with over 10 years of
experience will probably be too expensive. The client is a start-up with
limited resources so they're hoping to find someone that can help them
for the next few months at rates somewhere in the $40/hr ballpark.

If you're interested drop me a note or call the office at 1-802-334-0251

Dan
