My client in northern MA has a short-term contract opening. This will
start as a 6-8 wk project. We are trying to determine if the work can be
done part-time and/or off-site.
 
Details as follows:
 
Job Title/Req: Real Time Linux Performance Tuning (Principle Level
Contracting Position)


Education/Experience: Bachelor's in CS/EE, masters preferred, 8 + years
of experience developing software in an embedded RTOS environment. 

 

The candidate should posses following skills:

 - Good understanding of Linux kernel and Real Time OS environment
including
installation, configuration, tools, utilities, and various performance
tools.

- Should be able to work & fine tune Linux WindRiver Performance,
Characterization & Optimizations including Kernel/User Space Latencies,
Memory & Process Management.

- Deep Understanding & Knowledge of embedded Linux 2.6 kernel a must. 

- Must possess strong debugging and analytical skills. 

- Expertise with system level programming.

- Networking experience a must.

- Experience with C/C++.

- Ability to work with others to get the problems solved.

- Good Team Player, Independent worker and should posses good
Communication Skills.
