Where's telnet?

Typically telnet is run from inetd or xinetd. Check to see if you have one
of these running. If inetd, then check the config file /etc/inetd.conf, for
xinetd you'll find a directory /etc/xinetd.d, if I recall, in that directory
you'll find a file specifically for telnet.
However, it sound like what your looking for is the telnet client, not the
server. Your trying to telnet into qmail via port 25, is this correct????
I can't speak for Drake, but the other distros have a package named
telnet-????? and the executable is usually located in /usr/bin
