  Okay, that was not the right term.  Indeed, I cannot think of a concise
way to express what I mean.  So here is the long version:

  Some Linux advocates have a tendency to take any story or anecdote which
is positive toward Linux or negative toward Microsoft as gospel.  Likewise,
they tend to automatically label anything which *isn't* overflowing praise
of Linux, or which contains -- heaven forbid -- defense of Microsoft as
lies, FUD, astroturfing, etc.

  I am afraid I may have encountered so much of this recently (coincidence,
I hope) that I have started to overcompensate for it.  When faced with such
an outright contradiction between what you were asserting and your own given
source for it, I assumed (ass-me'd) you were simply badmouthing Microsoft
out of habit.  It never occurred to me that you were simply mixing up the
protocols.

  I apologize for presuming that of you.  You are right; you deserve better
than that.
