While I understand that security is not an issue in this particular
case, I still feel the need to answer your request with a secure
solution, since in the future, a secure solution will probably be
needed at sometime by someone grepping these archives.
So, I recommend using SSH, and creating keys for root, and placing
them in the root home directory on the systems which need them.
If you need more information on SSH or how to do this, please ask, or
read the SSH docs if that's easier :)
