Microsoft probably sees it as an investment. Ten to twenty million can 
buy quite a bit of lawyer time for SCO. The more lawyer time for SCO, 
the more FUD gets spread about Linux, the more Microsoft benefits.

They aren't the richest corporation in the world for nothing.
