You're probably right, and it's what I strongly suspect.
I do run Linux at runlevel 3 and launch X by hand (startx) -- it just
occurred to me I could just create a script to restart startx once a
month or so. The only trick is that I would want it to first check for
so many hours of inactivity first. Is there a clean way to check this
from a script?
