Not really.  You don't own the Vonage hardware.  If you cancel and
don't return it, they charge you $175 or something ridiculous like
that.

on the other hand, if there's a problem with device, I can point the
finger at Vonage and wait on hold for 3 weeks or more waiting to
demenad a replacement unit from their non-existant help desk.  You
can't get that kind of suppport from a BYOD vendor.  Oh no, they'll at
best point the finger at the device vendor who will likely point back
at them.  If you're lucky, you might have it ironed out in day or two.

Clearly mine was the better choice ;)
