Govt Going Open Source

In addition to the Mass. Govt. adopting the Open Document format
recently, there is another move afoot that is very positive for the
Free and Open Source Software community.  Namely that there are formal
channels for FOSS to compete in the decision-making process when
Software and Technology decisions are being made within government.

The National Center for Open Source Policy and Research (NCOSPR) is a
new non-profit organization at the University of Southern Mississippi
helping US Government use open source software.
