I think you'll find a much larger demand for 1U, for which you could
adjust your price accordingly.  Having a cheaper, 2U alternative might
be a good idea as well if there's such market demand.  IMO, if you
cram something into 1U of space, do it, I'd rather pay slightly more
to save rack space if possible.

 - Amps drawn (power consumption)
 - Vibration levels
 - Noise levels
 - UPS load levels and/or capacity remaining

 - SNMP queriable
 - Web-based configuration

   authenticate against *external* agents, NIS, LDAP, Kerberos...)
