Application auto-restart?

Hi all...
   A while back I recall someone mentioning a script / application that
watched a process and restarted the app if it crashed... I'm having a server
app crash every few weeks, so I'd like to use it, but I can't seem to pick
the right search keywords to find it in my mail archive...  someone please
jog my memory...
