What I'm thinking about is a MythTV Frontend. I've already got a
MythTV backend. But I wanted to make sure the box was powerful enough
to not just be a MythTV Frontend but also be able to take 1080i and
720p HDTV from the MythTV Backend and decode/display the HD TV shows.

Unfortunately you didn't answer my question about whether the KoolU can
decode and display 720p and 1080i HDTV.

Does the box have a 10/100/1000 UTP port? Or is the only connection via
802.11? Is the 802.11 only b/g or does it support 802.11(a)?

Indeed, and takes even more power to decode HD... Hense my question :)
I wouldn't want to shell out $300 for a device only to find out that
no, it can't actually play HD content.
